Boise State Women's Basketball vs. Air Force Recap: First Half

The Broncos came out aggressive, winning the first quarter 21-19 behind solid ball movement and inside scoring. However, Air Force responded with a dominant second quarter, outscoring Boise State 20-14. The Broncos struggled with turnovers early, allowing the Falcons to capitalize and take a 39-35 lead into halftime.

Second Half

Momentum swung back and forth as both teams traded buckets. Boise State kept the game within reach behind Tatum Thompson and Natalie Pasco’s scoring, but Air Force's Madison Smith proved to be the game-changer. Smith erupted for 28 points and 9 rebounds, consistently finding gaps in Boise State’s defense. Guard Jo Huntimer orchestrated the offense masterfully with 11 assists, keeping the Falcons’ attack fluid and efficient.

Turnovers plagued the Broncos throughout the contest, as their 20 giveaways prevented them from establishing a consistent offensive rhythm. Despite shooting a respectable 40% from beyond the arc (8-20), their inability to take care of the ball gave Air Force extra possessions. The Falcons sealed the win at the free-throw line, where they were a perfect 4-for-4, showcasing their composure in crunch time.
